Happy Holidays = Happy Picture Taking!

HAPPY ENGAGEMENT ERIC AND NICKY!!!

These two were such a fun loving couple! They braved the snow and cold to take pictures at Loring park where they got engaged. It was so fun to photograph their engagement pictures, I kinda forgot I was working and was able to get so many awesome shots. Thanks Guys!!!

I have to say, this holiday season I have been extremely lucky to have such wonderful clients! Keep your eyes open, I've got tons more shots to come after the holidays, but many people ordered for gifts so I don't want to spoil their fun.

Winter Wonderland!

The snow is here, the holidays are approaching and I'm having a blast! I love Minnesota, I love the snow, and yes, I might be just a little bit crazy! Not sure what to get your family for Christmas??? How about a beautiful portrait of your kids. Grandparents eat that up! It's their favorite gift to get, I promise! Contact me, I'd love to go play with the kids in the snow and get some really fun shots like these!

Fall Fun!

Oooouber-Super Exciting news! I now have new fall pieces hanging at Coffee Ta Cream at the Shakopee Town Square Mall.  I met Ryan, the owner of this amazing coffee/ice cream shop about a year ago and he has just been crazy awesome at helping promote my photography business! Ryan has such an outgoing personality, probably the nicest guy I've ever met!,  When I leave his shop, I feel so energized and motivated to work harder on my own business. I don't think I have ever left there without a smile on my face!  I don't drink coffee, but that sure doesn't stop me from enjoying such a wonderful place great hot coco, great food and an amazing atmosphere! You can also purchase matted prints, greeting cards and magnets of my work there. :) Thanks much Ryan! Your shop is the best place to go in Shakopee for ice cream! Not to mention has the most awesome art to check out while your there! ;)

It has been such a blessing to have such great shooting weather this fall. As Minnesotan's we all know how unpredictable the weather can be... last year we already had our first snow fall by now. This year we've had record highs in the high 80's! It's not very often that I have time to just wander around and take some fun fall pictures, but this year I made it a point to get out there and shoot those beautiful colors. Feel free to leave comments and let me know what you think. :)

I had a chance to shoot some fun pictures at Crofut Winery while attending the Scott County Art Crawl... which I had no idea was going on till last minute. You can bet I will sure be a part of it next year! :)

Baby Liam in the pumpkins... thank you Kasey Johnson for coming out and playing with me! :)

I had so much fun shooting at the pumpkin patch this year...

If anyone is interested, there is still time to get those fun fall shots in! :)

I also had the pleasure of shooting Kasey's nieces Grace and Tabitha at the pumpkin patch, they sure are beautiful girls!

GO SABERS! 2011 Shakopee High School Seniors

I have received many referrals over the past year from my BNI group this year! Joining this group has been a huge boost to my business and I have been able to make many new friends here in Shakopee. I highly recommend to anyone to check out a chapter near you if you are looking to expand your own business. Twila Hanks from MidCountry Mortgage is a fellow member and friend who has a high school senior this year. She asked me to shoot pictures of her son, Ian Hanks and his friend Dylan Ulferts at her home. Her gardens were amazing and gave me endless opportunities! I loved getting to use her beautiful deck staircase as a really fun backdrop for the guys. This shoot was a fantastic experience! Thank you Twila! Thank you Ian and Dylan for being such good sports and putting up with the hundreds of pictures I took that day! Here is a little peak of some fun stuff we did!

Me Blog??? No WAY! ;)

Hello family, friends and clients. Yes, I am actually entering the blogging world!  I have decided to create a blog for many reasons.  One, I think it would be a fun way to display some previews of current projects I am working on. I would also love to post some photography tips here and there to help you take better pictures. Last, but certainly not least, to keep all of you updated on current events that Captured By Crystal Ann Photography may be involved in.

I have been working hard at growing my business this year and I want to thank all my friends and family for helping me get off the ground. I also want to thank my BNI group as it has given me much courage and strength to push through on my business even with the current economy the way it is. I love you all!!!

WELCOME TO THE WORLD LIAM DAVID JOHNSON!

Congratulations Ben and Kasey Johnson. On September 1, 2010 Kasey gave birth to sweet little Liam David Johnson. 8lbs. 9oz. 21In.  I feel so privileged that I got to shoot his newborn pictures at just 1 week old! He is such a handsome little guy. Check out the pics!
